Mixed Up Sounds, April mix – stream or download now

This month’s mixed up sounds travels across a range of styles, moods and tempos. There’s some great sounds out at the moment.

VIM and sister label Diablo Loco continue with a hi quality release schedule. A standout our for me is Vandal’s Ulysses which brings a refreshing vibe to the current breaks styles. On a more experimental tip, it’s definitely worth listening to the full album release Dust by ANEZ, released on the awesome Chi Recordings. This is a great album and I had to include the opening track Ting Kang at the end of my mix!

Check out this awesome remix by Stephen Cole on the latest Dead Famous Remix EP. The original “Speak Your Grind” was released on UK label Dead Famous in late 2009 back to back with “Exit Enlightenment”. Stephen Cole’s remix brings a new energy with a funky twist and awesome production as usual from the man. I was really impressed when I heard this remix!
